OUR MINE
OUR MINES · TANZANIA TANXIN MINERAL
Tanxin Mineral.
Natural graphite resources.
Located in the Lindi region of southeastern Tanzania, Tanxin Mineral draws on local natural graphite resources to provide Mingkun Graphite with a direct source of raw materials, strengthening our supply chain from mine to finished product.
Tanxin Mineral is a key mining project in Mingkun Graphite’s operations in Tanzania. We hold a substantial equity stake in the company and play a leading role in its mineral resource development and business operations. Covering exploration, mining, processing and sales, the project provides an important foundation for integrating upstream natural graphite resources and strengthening our raw material supply capabilities.
Drawing on these local resources, Tanxin Mineral supplies natural graphite for applications including refractory materials, flame-retardant materials and batteries, supporting the raw material needs of a wide range of industries.
LOCATION & ACCESS
Lindi, Tanzania.
Location and infrastructure.
Located in the Lindi region of southeastern Tanzania, Tanxin Mineral benefits from local transport links and production infrastructure that support natural graphite extraction, processing and onward transport, helping connect raw material supply with market demand.
The mine is located in the Lindi region of southeastern Tanzania, a country with a generally stable political environment.
The mine is approximately 150 km from airport and port facilities, with convenient transport links supporting the delivery of mine supplies and the shipment of graphite products.
Local temperatures are around 30°C, while water and electricity infrastructure supports daily mine operations. Together, these conditions support year-round natural graphite extraction and processing.
MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS
Graphite with industrial versatility.
Tanxin Mineral’s natural graphite offers heat resistance, low impurity content and suitability for expansion processing, supporting a range of industrial applications.
Heat and oxidation resistance
Good heat and oxidation resistance make this graphite suitable for refractory materials and related industrial products used in high-temperature environments.
Low impurity content
Low levels of mica and other metallic and non-metallic impurities facilitate subsequent purification and further processing.
Applications in expandable graphite
Suitable for processing into expandable graphite and flexible graphite paper for use in flame-retardant materials and other applications.
A high proportion of large flakesAccording to mine documentation, +50 mesh graphite accounts for at least 65% of the mixed-size product.
